Aboriginal Spirituality
In Aboriginal Spirituality, there is no specific sacred text,
compared to other religions like Islam (the Qur'an) and Catholicism (the Bible), but rather stories are passed on from generation to generation about:
• The Dreamtime
• Ancestors of the clan
• The Spirit Being/s
• Land and its inhabitants
These stories can be expressed in numerous ways, including
rock art/paintings, dances and speech. These stories aim
to convey why things are as they are and to describe
the land and its owners.

Islamic Religion
The main sacred text in Islamic Religion is the Holy Qur'an.
The Qur'an records the words of the God, Allah, that were
told to the Prophet Mohammed by the archangel Gabriel.
Literally speaking, Qur'an means "recitation", as in it recites
the word of God. The primary message of the Qur'an is:
• to affirm the absolute supremacy of God
• To express that there is one God alone and he is omnipotent
• God has control over everything
• Humanity owes God full obedience
There is also the Hadith (meaning "statements") and the
Sunna (meaning "traditions"), which are both authoritative
texts in Islam. The Hadith records the sayings and teachings
of the Prophet Mohammed and the Sunna records the rulings and deeds of the Prophet.
